Live streaming, live blogging of slain UNTV media men on Sunday

UNTV will have a live coverage of the burial of Daniel Tiamzon in Manila; and the three other UNTV media workers in Gen. Santos City, Mindanao, who are among the 30 journalists killed in the Ampatuan Massacre, on Sunday.

The network’s website will have a live simulated streaming of the coverage via http://untvweb.com starting 12 noon (Philippine time).  There will also be live blogging via http://twitter.com/untvweb.

The funeral cortege arrives at UNTV station in Edsa on Friday afternoon.

On December 4, Friday, Tiamzon’s remains arrived at UNTV’s headquarters in EDSA, Quezon City, north of Manila, Philippines.  A stage was set in front of the UNTV building where sympathizers and some members of the media waited for the funeral cortege for Tiamzon.

According to reports, there are 30 journalists and media workers out of the 57 people massacred in the country’s worst election-related violence.

As this developed, the Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo administration put the whole of Maguindanao under Martial Law, reasoning that rebellion is in the offing.
